Holy Baptism
For many, baptism marks us with the cross of Christ on our brows for the first time.
There are five central faith practices that grow out of our Baptism in Christ. These practices outline the expectations of the life of a Christian who takes his or her Christianity seriously. They are the marks of a disciple.
“As Lutherans, we are called to continually grow in faith, love and obedience to the will of God. ‘Living Our Baptismal Covenant’ live among God’s faithful people;
- Hear the Word of God and share in the Lord’s Supper;
- Proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed;
- Serve all people following the example of Jesus; and,
- Strive for justice and peace in all the earth.
